Transient Shade

Transient Shade, 2014

interactive display, sensor, glass, mirror film, cherry wood

Transient Shade is a unique apparatus that reacts with the viewer. It appears to be a normal mirror, but upon closer inspection, a sensor is triggered, causing a light fog to appear and grow randomly. This creates a gaze that deprives the original mirror image. This use of light and reflection creates a unique and thought-provoking experience. However, once the spectator leaves, the lighting fades and the installation returns to its original state as a simple mirror.
